change in approach

it's amazing how much a little thing like going the opposite direction (i.e., not the usual way) can do for one's perspective!

today, instead of going the usual direction on my Capital City State Trail loop, i went east to west instead of the usual west to east. i saw many new things that i hadn't noticed all summer long! it was simply amazing.

so, next time you're about to turn right because that's the way you've always done it, turn left and see what you find! :-)

i wonder how often people feel torn like this? perhaps in dreams? perhaps in 'real' life?

i suspect that when one dreams of something like this, more likely than not, one is facing a decision in 'real' life that requires a choice between two opposing sides.

a friend, far away from home and his surroundings, recently dreamt of having to choose between his homies from the past and his future.

as far as i know, he's still here...

under new management

I wonder how many times I will be under different management? How many times have I already? How many more times will I be? Is someone keeping track? At what point do I call off the bets? When is it time to close shop and open up a restaurant?

i wanna be an action hero...
